Can you not bear the thought of leaving your furry friend at home?

If you are like us, we enjoy taking our dog away on holidays, as we don’t have the everyday stresses and are able to spend more quality time with him.

dog with suitcase

Our Pet friendly Cabins are fantastic as you are able to allow your pet to be inside the cabin with you.  Of course, there are a few rules that you need to abide by, and like any extra guests in cabins there is an charge for the pet.  A bond is also payable on arrival.

With many places to walk your dog in Kingston-on-Murray it is a great spot to exercise your pets, and if your dog is anything like ours, they will love paddling in the river.

These cabins are very popular, so make sure that you book in advance.  These bookings cannot be made online, only through our friendly office staff on 08 8583 0209.

Are you looking for somewhere to go for your Summer Family Holiday?

A lot of people think that they cannot afford to go away over the Xmas Holidays as most places are out of their reach.  Well, think again.  We keep our prices down so that everyone can go away and make special memories at our Park.

And of course, we are central to all the Riverland towns, so everything is within easy reach.  Banrock Station is close by and we have packages available that include transfers, so the worry of driving back to the Park after enjoying one of their many wines, is no longer.

Christmas Family Holiday

Are you still looking for a Christmas family holiday?

Resized-KOM Caravan Park-Sept 2014-0089Are you looking for a park that has an Olympic size swimming pool, a water playground that has a bucket that dumps thousands of litres of water on to your head, a jumping pillow, a movie cinema or is on a river where you have to get up in the middle of the night to reserve your skiing spot, well we can’t help you!

Kingston-on-Murray Caravan Park is a small, shady and picturesque park on the banks of the Murray River 210km’s North East of Adelaide and centrally located in the Riverland region.  We don’t have all the bells and whistles here but what we do have here is a resort pool with lounges and bean bags, an oval with football and soccer goals, a bike track, basketball ring and playground.  But of course we have the river where you can actually ski, canoe and fish without the threat of being run over or squeezed out of your favourite fishing spot.

You can have all of this at a fraction of the cost of these other parks.

Unfortunately as parents we are all so busy with everyday life that we tend to choose a caravan park with the bells and whistles, no matter the cost, as long as the kids are entertained so you don’t have to worry about them.  We believe that Christmas is real family time and riding your bike, kicking the footy, playing a game of scrabble or throwing a line in with your children is a memory and experience that will never be forgotten.  You will never get this time back.

Here at Kingston-on-Murray Caravan Park we can offer all these memories at a very affordable price.  We still have vacancies over the Christmas holiday period in cabins and sites.  Call us now on 85830209 or visit our website You won’t be disappointed.

Had a big week?  Want to spend some quality time with the family? Well, if you’re an annual site holder, it is as simple as “pack the car, we are off to Kingston-on-Murray this weekend.”

So, what is an annual site?

Basically, you own the caravan/annexe on the site and you pay an annual fee to the park to occupy the site, which include 60 nights free for the site holders.  Your family and friends can visit too.

What are the benefits?

The benefits of having an annual site are endless:

– Firstly, you have 24 hour access to your site and can come and go as you please.   -You are not restricted to the usual check in and check out times.                                -You will have a site in the park on the Murray River.  This gives you a prime real estate location at a fraction of the cost of owning a holiday home.                                               – Your dog is welcome to stay with you on your site, subject to the Parks usual Pet Policy                                                                                                                                  – You will have full access of all the parks facilities including the pool, oval, camp kitchen and BBQ’s.

Imagine having a full time pool man, full time gardener, 24 hour on call service for emergencies and staff on site 24/7.

The Inaugural Kingston-on-Murray Camp Oven Cook Off

Resized-KOM Caravan Park-Camp Oven-Sept 2014-0108Our First ever Camp Oven Cook Off was a resounding success and will now be a regular feature on the Social Calender of those attended.

Like anything, there is always hiccups – just ask Peter, who spent 3 days digging the holes that we used to cook in.  Even the Post Hole digger couldn’t break the soil that we have here.Resized-KOM Caravan Park-Camp Oven-Sept 2014-0051

The guests started rocking in for the 3pm start at which time the fires were roaring and the coals being made.  We had over 20 Camp Ovens cooking, with all sorts of different creations.  As hoped, the wind dropped went the sun went down which created a fantastic atmosphere around the fire and meant we were not chasing the smoke free area.

As we all started to eat dinneResized-KOM Caravan Park-Camp Oven-Sept 2014-0184 No 2r, our live entertainment in the form of friend of the KOMCP, Linda Stavrou, started doing her thing and after a hiccup with the WIFI, she sang her heart out and even had a friend drop in to do some duos.  There was even some dancing on the makeshift dance floor.

Overall, the night was heaps of fun and of course was a fantastic fundraiser for the Riverland Relay for Life.

Thank you for everyone who attended the night, and keep your eye out for the event next year.
