Welcome to our blog!

Welcome to our first blog post.  We hope you will find this and future posts both useful and informative.

For all those who haven’t stayed in our park before or don’t know us, here is a little bit about ourselves.

We bought the park in 2007 having moved over from Perth, we call it a ‘river change!’.  My wife Lisa and I are the owner/managers and we have 2 children Courtney, who now also works part time in the park and our son Brodie.  We also have our beloved dog Buddy who usually stands at the gate and wags his tail when customers arrive.  Lynne, our part time cleaner and receptionist, has been here for over 5 years and we have caretakers, currently Colin and Kay who help out.  We have recently employed Linda who works two mornings a week in an administration role. buddy

In 2004 we travelled extensively around South Australia and Victoria and spent time in the Riverland.  When we found that this park was on the market, we knew the time was right to take the plunge and relocate.

We believe that the park is unique, is quiet, peaceful and secluded, off the main road and of course backs on to the majestic Murray River.  It is a nature lovers dream with abundant bird life and for the canoeists, we have the Nockburra and Chambers Creek located nearby.

Many people however, are still under the assumption that the park is old and run down.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.  In the 6 years we have been here, we have substantially upgraded the park and this upgrade continues today with some exciting new projects already underway.  We have upgraded our office, extensively upgraded our pool area to resort style, installed a large camp kitchen with wood combustion heater, a playground, a dump point, four new 2 bedroom deluxe cabins and have renovated our existing cabins.  We have acquired pedal carts for kids to ride around in and we still have our canoes for exploring our beautiful back yard.

New Projects

Projects currently underway include our new parkland area for recreational purposes which will include a basketball ring and football goals for those still keen to play in the sun.  We are just waiting for the lawn to grow so this area should be up and running early 2014.  In addition to this, we will be installing a new BBQ area near our pool so that you can cook your lunch whilst the kids are having fun in the pool.

Please don’t drive past, call in and experience our beautiful park for yourself.
