The Kingston-On-Murray Caravan Park have been lucky to experience two fantastic ladies from Berlin in a Workaway Programme for the last 2 weeks.

Susie a Physiotherapist and Jasmine a Medical Technician have left their home city of Berlin to take on the bright lights of Australia for a year’s working holiday!!

The park has been transformed with their gardening, maintenance and energy over their 2 week stay here. Since arriving at Perth in February, they have also showed their hands at sheep mustering, housemaiding and grape picking.susie and jasmine garden

Both Susie and Jasmine have loved the turquoise beaches in the South West of Western Australia, sighting huge Kangaroos and have loved the experience of driving across the Nullarbor in the car they have purchased to travel far and wide in this large country!!

There next port of call is to head in the direction of the Northern Territory….Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Alice Springs are of keen interest to them both, and to experience the real outback of Australia.

There Australian working experience ends in Queensland early next year with a well earned holiday to New Zealand.

We would like to thank them immensely for all there hard work around the park, with lots of morning teas and good laughs had by all!!

Wishing them both safe and happy travels for the rest of Australia.

Welcome to our New Assistant Managers

Not only is the landscape around the park a continual work in progress, so is our team line-up.  We look for people who can offer a different dimension to the park and who can bring in new skills and ideas.  Never resting on our laurels – we like to be in continual improvement mode. Rod & Simone correct onejpg

Having said that, we would like to welcome Simone & Rod Bedford. They are our new Assistant Managers and come to us from Western Australia with a vast amount of experience and knowledge within the tourism and travel sector.  Not only have they fitted in easily and are a great compliment to our existing team, they have brought along a friend for Buddy.  His name is Archie and is enjoying the lifestyle here.

The two boys correct oneSimone and Rod had been busy owning and running their successful businesses for a time before deciding to sell up and have a home address as “Travelling Australia”.  With an address like that it’s handy to receive mail via email  :0).

Simone’s forte is in interior design, but from the mouth watering aromas wisping out of their caravan from time to time, she has proven herself to be an expert cook as well, which we have all been privy to for the odd morning tea from time to time – thanks Simone.

Rod is an “A Class” electrician and an all round good bloke. Peter is so pleased to have another male on board.  He can breathe again – We think he was beginning to feel a bit over beared by the female sector plus it’s a great help to have that extra muscle power around the place.

Not only have the Bedford’s fitted in well at the caravan park – the Barmera/KOM community can also benefit from their arrival – yes it’s good news – they are both very keen on tennis and golf.

Welcome again you two – it’s good to have you here.

Ski boats were polished and buffed for the last burst before winter on the Murray River, and Easter eggs were waiting to be devoured!!
